Flexlock can be implemented with the existing cards or tags used in the workplace without affecting existing systems. This means the same card can be used to access both the place of work and various storage units.
Due to the encryption level of a standard bankcard we cannot recommend to use that as a key.
If you don’t have a RFID tag already for your access systems you can purchase either a user key card or a key tag from NORNORM. Please contact support@nornorm.com
The lock is open until someone with a compatible card or tag locks it. The same card must then unlock the storage unit. If another card tries to unlock the lock, an error signal is emitted. The lock is left in the open position after being unlocked.
If you lose your tag or user card the service card can open the lock. Please contact your local administrator who keeps the service card. If the locks fails to open with the service card please contact support@nornorm.com.
Together with your furniture installation you have received a yellow service card. This card should be stored in a secure place as it gives you the ability to open all of your locks.
If you should accidentally lose your service card please contact support@nornorm.com and they will send a new card to you. Admin fee at a €100 charge.
The flexlock is battery powered. Its normal use life is up to three years. When the battery starts to die, the lock will give a warning beep every time you lock it. When the battery is completely empty (around 1-2 months after the the first warning signal) the lock will stop working. You will need to replace the batteries. We recommend using Flexlock batteries that are specially designed for your locks to work as best as they can. You can purchase batteries at via the flexlock website at a minimum batch of 50.
Below 50 batteries you would need to purchase a new battery at a regular store. The battery specifics are xxxx
NORNORM will not change the batteries for you.
To communicate that the storage has a lock there is a sticker placed on the door.
Radio-frequency identification is a technology for reading information remotely. Flexlock is a compatible system that works with the most popular RFID technologies. Flexlock only reads general information and does not integrate with the network.
