How to use your RFID Lock
Unlike traditional locks, which require drilling into the door, our chosen lock is mounted on the inside of the cabinet. This means we preserve the original condition of each door, avoiding any damage to its surface and maintaining its simple and clean look. By not altering the exterior, we ensure that every piece can be reused and refreshed, supporting maximum longevity in our circular system.

RFID locks can be implemented with the existing cards or tags used in the workplace without affecting existing systems. This means the same card can be used to access both the place of work and various storage units.
Due to the encryption level of a standard bankcard we cannot recommend to use that as a key.
If you don’t have a RFID tag already for your access systems you can purchase either a user key card or a key tag from NORNORM. Please contact support@nornorm.com
How to use your RFID Lock
The door can be locked using any physical bank card, workplace access card, or tag.
Please note that Apple Pay and other digital wallet cards cannot be used, as the door will then not be possible to unlock with the same method. If the door is accidentally locked using a digital wallet card, please contact your local administrator, who keeps the service card (yellow). If the lock cannot be opened with the service card, please contact support@nornorm.com.
Locking the door
Gently press the door closed and hold your card or tag against the wifi symbol.
A locking sound will confirm that the door is locked.
The door will then be linked to that specific card or tag and can only be unlocked using the same one.
Unlocking the door
To unlock, simply hold the same card or tag against the wifi symbol once again.
If an incorrect card or tag is used, the lock will give an error sound and remain locked.
Once the door has been unlocked, the system resets and a new card or tag can be used to lock it again.
Master Key
Together with your furniture installation you have received a yellow service card. This card should be stored in a secure place as it gives you the ability to open all of your locks.
If you should accidentally lose your service card please contact support@nornorm.com and they will send a new card to you. Admin fee at a €100 charge.
Batteries
The RFID Lock is battery powered. Its normal use life is up to three years. When the battery starts to die, the lock will give a warning beep every time you lock it. When the battery is completely empty (around 1-2 months after the the first warning signal) the lock will stop working. You will need to replace the batteries. We recommend using Flexlock batteries that are specially designed for your locks to work as best as they can. You can purchase batteries at via the RFID Lock website at a minimum batch of 50.
Below 50 batteries you would need to purchase a new battery at a regular store.
NORNORM will not change the batteries for you.
Sticker
To communicate that the storage has a lock there is a sticker placed on the door.
