Friend of NORNORM: Collective Minds. Building the Future of Collaborative Healthcare
How do you accelerate medical research, improve patient outcomes, and empower experts across borders to share life-saving insights? For the Swedish healthtech company Collective Minds, the answer lies in collaboration, powered by technology and a bold vision for the future of healthcare.

Founded in 2017, Collective Minds set out to solve one of the biggest challenges in modern medicine: how to make medical imaging data shareable, secure, and useful across hospitals, research institutions, and industries. Their cloud-based platform allows de-identified medical images to be stored, accessed, and analysed safely within GDPR frameworks, enabling researchers and clinicians to collaborate on groundbreaking projects in oncology, radiology, and AI development.
Today, the platform is used in large-scale EU research projects and by leading hospitals and pharmaceutical companies across Europe. By connecting experts and democratising access to medical imaging data, Collective Minds is helping to accelerate discoveries that improve diagnostics and treatments for diseases such as cancer.
For CEO Anders Nordell, the vision was clear from the start:“We wanted to create something like the Uber of Radiology, a hub where tens of thousands of radiologists can connect, share expertise, and help one another. Knowledge shouldn’t be locked away. It should be free and shared.”

Behind the platform is a strong belief that healthcare innovation happens when silos disappear. By building bridges between experts, research institutions, and industries, Collective Minds is making medical collaboration faster, safer, and more inclusive, a foundation for a more data-driven and efficient healthcare system.
Much of Collective Minds’ work centres around cancer research, where their platform enables secure collaboration between hospitals and researchers across Europe. While the company does not develop its own AI, it plays a crucial role in validating and comparing AI tools in real-world medical settings, such as in a major Swedish mammography study that tested ten different AI solutions against radiologists’ performance. The findings were clear: the strongest results come when AI and radiologists work together. Collective Minds’ vision is to make data sharing in healthcare compliant, efficient, and fast, because in medicine, time truly is money.
“Our long-term vision is clear: to enable the right diagnosis and the right treatment, faster. By accelerating how medical data and research results are shared, we aim to shorten the path from scientific discovery to real-world patient impact.” says Anders Nordell, CEO Collective Minds.
Collective Minds aims to build a truly global healthtech company, expanding its footprint across Europe while establishing a strong presence in the United States, where many of its customers are already active. The company’s goal is to be internationally established and fully profitable within five years.
Sustainability is deeply embedded in everything Collective Minds does. Their platform is designed with longevity and responsibility in mind, aiming to contribute to a more sustainable medtech industry. Even small steps toward reducing environmental impact are seen as essential to building a healthier and more future-proof healthcare ecosystem. As a fast-growing company at the forefront of medtech, Collective Minds also embraces flexibility and sustainability in how they work. Their partnership with NORNORM reflects that mindset, creating a workspace that can evolve in step with their rapid growth and international expansion.
From rethinking how medical imaging data is shared to designing smarter ways of working, Collective Minds and NORNORM share a common goal: enabling a more sustainable, collaborative future.
