Creating a Nordic Hub for Circular Innovation at Coop Trading
Coop Trading used NORNORM’s circular subscription to create a modern, adaptable workspace that reflects their Nordic identity. The model gives them the freedom to adjust the space as they settle into their new Copenhagen office.
The Goal
Moving into a new office, Coop Trading knew they wouldn’t land on the perfect layout from day one. They wanted a modern workspace that aligned with their sustainable profile. But more importantly, one that could evolve as they learned how the space was actually used by the team. Their ambition was to build a vibrant Nordic hub that felt true to their brand while giving them the flexibility to refine and adapt over time.
NORNORM's Solution
NORNORM’s circular subscription offered exactly the kind of elasticity Coop Trading was looking for. From day one, the team worked closely with NORNORM’s spatial design experts and external designer, Karen Toft, to translate Coop Trading’s brand identity into the furniture and layout. The Nordic Light setup gave them a functional starting point and the freedom to adjust the space as real-world use revealed what worked best. A design built intentionally, but never fixed.

The Outcome
Today, the office feels modern, light, and distinctly Nordic. Employees describe the atmosphere as vibrant and aligned with how they want to be seen. Most importantly, the space no longer feels fixed, it can shift as needs change, without waste or new investment. For Coop Trading, NORNORM has become a key piece of a bigger transformation: building a flexible, future-ready Nordic hub.
