Wolt expands sustainably with NORNORM

Wolt chooses NORNORM for a sustainable expansion and to free up capital to develop other investments. NORNORM is commissioned to help in Wolt's expansion phase and is implementing its circular furnishing service in Wolt's HQ in Stockholm and Oslo.

NORNORM X WOLT

In 2022, Wolt expanded its operations in Sweden and moved its headquarters to the former Mineralvattenfabriken in Hagastaden. There was also a need to be able to facilitate growth by being able to easily adjust the office furniture according to the changing needs that arise as the company grows. The agreement between Wolt and Atrium Ljungberg is a green lease agreement (the real estate industry's contract template for reduced energy use and environmental impact for premises.) The ambition and basic requirements from Wolt were clear - easy to scale with a focus on sustainability.

“There are many ways a company can contribute to a sustainable environment, one of which is the use of office furniture, which has increased in importance now that people are returning to the office. That's why we're happy to collaborate with NORNORM. They make it easier for us to make a sustainable choice and save money at the same time" Johan Grönvall, CEO of Wolt Sweden.

Wolt is a Finnish tech company founded in 2014 in Helsinki and has expanded to 23 different countries and more than 250 cities. Through Wolts´ app, customers can order food and other products and have their orders delivered directly to their door. Wolt also offers technical solutions in local logistics, payment, and retail and operates its grocery stores under the Wolt Market brand.

“We are extremely happy that Wolt sees the possibilities and benefits of our service. We notice that sustainability is becoming an increasingly important issue in the expansion phase for progressive companies." Carl Nilsson Langkilde, regional lead - Nordics at NORNORM

NORNORM provides businesses with attractive workplace furniture services based on subscription. Requiring neither investment nor long-term commitment, it offers flexibility to scale up or down as the company grows or downsizes. The concept is built on circularity, where every piece of furniture is kept in a loop from one workspace to the next, and each product is carefully maintained and refurbished to extend its lifespan. Good for business, people and the planet. NORNORM is not just a concept, a company or a service — it is a new and circular way of doing business.

Backed by IKEA and others, NORNORM is on a mission to redefine the future of work by creating a fully circular business model for workspace furniture. To learn more about the NORNORM concept visit nornorm.com
