We are thrilled to welcome a new team member, Christin Martens, NORNORM's newest Business Development Assistant in Germany. We sat down with Christin to briefly explore her perspective on NORNORM and what she's excited to explore in our newest market.
What’s your background?
"I’m currently studying my Bachelor’s degree at the Copenhagen Business School, planning to go for a Master’s next autumn. I’m from Hamburg originally, but now I really enjoy the Copenhagen lifestyle."
Why did you join NORNORM?
“I have a good friend who works with social media for NORNORM; Indra Kaesemann. Indra kept talking about the company, and after learning more about the concepts and values NORNORM stand for, I became super interested. So when the opportunity came up to join the team as a part-time student assistant within business development in Germany, I leapt at the chance. It works really well combining the job with my studies”.
How is it going so far?
“I’ve only been with the company for a week - but from day one I’ve been met by so much kindness and support. It’s a great company culture where everyone among the company is sharing their experiences and knowledge. Right now I’m in Berlin for my onboarding and the German team is super young and enthusiastic about what they do. It’s a great atmosphere to work in and we’re all encouraged to follow our ideas”.
What is something your team may not know yet?
“I’m fluent in Spanish and my hope for the future is that I’ll be able to take part in launching NORNORM in Spain – and Latin America”.
